I’m just Southern girl with a dream, brought up on sweet tea and Jesus, who was given her father’s name and who knows that hope is a thing with feathers. Y’all sit and stay awhile.
I grew up in Gates County, in an area fondly called Scratch Hall by the old timers who will offer you a glass of sweet tea, and within thirty minutes of conversing with you, have us related.
In my heart, I’m still that young girl with a Southern drawl reading after her bedtime and writing stories on pink lined paper with a Lisa Frank pencil. This is my outlet.
Look closely for Merchants Town in my fiction; that sleepy Southern town is my shout-out to a place that will always be my home.
Don’t be a stranger!
